Hot flashes are for everyone! Yes, both sexes enjoy the end of this sweaty change in their lives. The culprits are caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol as you may have guessed. Herbs such as black cohash, dong quai and chaste berry are very helpful. Yoga, meditation, and massage are fun and helpful. Acupuncture and acupressure can nip it in the bud. Wearing cotton is better then covering yourself in a synthetic fabric, it’s that breathing thing. Realize that the hot flashes are not harming you, they are just extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient…ok, and maybe a little embarrassing. I will admit, it is hard to enjoy this valuable time in our lives. All the talk about enjoying the changes and taking your time to readjust and get to know your new self….well, I don’t know about you but all I can focus on is the heat…which is why it is such a major problem in my life..law of attraction.
Hot flashes make it difficult to enjoy this dominant change in our lives, but worse case scenario is that you will live all the way through it.
