What if you aren’t feeling well and the healing modalities that you know how to use are not working?

SHIFT.

Some modalities work better on certain problems then others.  So if you are working again to heal a problem and not getting very far, shift.  There are so many holistic approaches to problems of all kinds, physical and mental and emotional, that it may just be time to go to a healer that uses something different then what you have to give to yourself.

Don’t be shy about seeking out a new modality, remember that you were once new to the modalities that you practice.

Reiki For Dogs

My dog Happy is stuggling.  I think he is having anxiety attacks and the vet thinks he is having seizures.  I am hoping that my lack of veterinary skills will prevail.

Last Saturday I was teaching a Reiki I class when Happy began to whine and pace in a circle.  He would begin to sit down and then jump back up and pace.  This was out of character for him but because I had not been aware of one of his attacks BEFORE it hit, I had no idea what it would look like.  As I spoke to my class I held one hand on his chest and the other on his back.  He laid down.  After about 10 minutes or so, he moved away from my hands, about 4 feet and fell asleep.  He spent the whole class in that spot and when we went downstairs to practice Reiki, he joined us and laid under the table.

Did I prevent a seizure or at least a horrible shaking anxiety attack by channeling immediately, before it accelerated?   I guess I’ll never know, but I can tell you that it stopped whatever was beginning.

Hands on healing, it just doesn’t get better.

What Is a Diet?

A diet is a simple word with many meanings.  I didn’t bother to look it up on the net, but I believe DIET means WHAT YOU EAT.  The food that you consume is a diet.

Now, if you have a high fat diet, you eat foods with a high fat content which equals a high caloric diet….in general.

So how do you lose weight?  Cut your food intake by half.  Really.  Eat raw vegetables for snacks between meals, if you get hungary.  For meals eat 1/2 the food that is on your plate.  Not suggesting that you change the foods you eat.  Just eat half of the food you normally would.  You can’t tell me that if you consume half of the food in the next month that you normally would, that some weight wouldn’t fall off?  Having said that, I’m also not suggesting that it would be easy to eat half as much food.  Keep in mind that this goes for anything you put in your gut…including beverages.  Half it all.

Earth Quake and Tsunami

Our neighbors and fellow Americans are in trouble.  The storm has wiped out homes and entire cities.  Feeling like you can’t make a difference?  Feeling like you are struggling financially and can’t send money?  What CAN we all do?

This is a great time to try your skills as a long distance healer.  Meditate, channel, pray and let’s send all the energy we can today, tomorrow and for the next 7 days.  That’s right let’s spend 10 minutes a day for the next 7 days and help these folks out.

After all, WE are the world.

Optimism for Your Pessimism

Off and on we all share this common flaw.  It is focusing on the pessimism in our heads.

We all seem to know that person that never appears to have a bad day and we wonder, “how do they always stay so happy?”  Well, they aren’t always so happy.  But they tell themselves that “things will change, or maybe it isn’t as bad as it all looks today.”  Whatever they put in their mind to rid them of pessimism is a wonderful high vibrational thought.

When you get in the habit of over-riding the pessimism in your head, it comes quite naturally to think good thoughts, raise your vibration and your mood.  In the end you increase good moods in the people around you and the list of folks you help are limitless.  Now, that in and of itself, is phenomenal!

Don’t wait to lift up your co-worker, neighbor or a depressed friend.  Smile, speak with optimism.  Talk about spring and flowers, wear high vibrational colors, and add a little skip in your step.  If nothing else, the naysayers will wonder what you’re up to, and that curiosity will help to raise spirits as well.

Rise To the Occasion

Winter seems to be lingering on for most of us.  Get outside whenever there is a break in the weather.

Rise to the occasion!  Don’t wait for the perfect day to come.  Get on the appropriate clothing and set out into the cold air.  Put a little chap stick on your lips and wrap a scarf around your neck.  Instead of sitting around waiting for spring, move forward.  Meet up with  spring outside the door.  It is coming and you don’t want to miss that first day.

Shifting your perspective of the weather is good for your mind.  Think of sunshine and warmth on your face.  Enjoy the leaving of winter and the arrival of spring.

The Experience You Have, Is For You

People often times talk about an experience that they have had, and then run around helping other people because they now hold this new wisdom.

Helping others is a great thing.   But realize that the wisdom that comes out of an experience is not always for sharing.  Most of the time our experiences are for us.  These things that take place in our lives, sometimes very profound, are to enhance OUR lives.  Life not only happens TO us, but also happens FOR us.  Make sure you understand what really took place, and how it worked in YOUR life before expounding the wisdom onto others.  An experience can have such deep meaning if we allow ourselves to contemplate it, quietly.

Wisdom is guiding us all the time.  Listen intuitively, and learn.  Your life is about you, and the more you pay attention, the higher you will vibrate.

The Universe Applauds Your Shift

We all work hard and from time to time, we need to disconnect.  You know the drill, you’re sailing along just fine and then all of a sudden you wake up one day and yesterday’s desires simply no longer exist.

Take a couple of days off, if you can.  Do less, do something different.  If you are creative and your job doesn’t require that particular skill, bring out the paints, clay or whatever your medium is and enjoy the luxury of working that part of your brain for a couple of days.

Sometimes the best thing to do is not the `practical’ thing to do.  Fear not, the Universe has your back and applauds your decision for change.  Soon you’ll be back on the track again.
