Happiness is Here

Have you lost your happy?  It happens.  Do you ever wonder if you’ll be happy again?

The Universe in its infinite wisdom teaches us happiness, as well as sadness, misery and joy among all other emotions.  If you never experience the `bad’ things in life, how can you ever recognize when you are happy?  Imagine always feeling the same, no change in your emotion.  Imagine looking at a sunset and never having the feeling of seeing something beautiful in it.

Your happy is there.  It may not be today or tomorrow, or for that matter for a long time out.  But I do know that the Universe has a plan for you, and when this stage is over, you will be happy beyond your wildest dreams.  And you will never again be concerned that you happy is gone forever.

The Universe Will Help You

We all work hard and from time to time, we need to disconnect.  You know the drill, you’re sailing along just fine and then all of a sudden you wake up one day and yesterday’s desires simply no longer exist.

Take a couple of days off, if you can.  Do less, do something different.  If you are creative and your job doesn’t require that particular skill, bring out the paints, clay or whatever your medium is and enjoy the luxury of working that part of your brain for a couple of days.

Sometimes the best thing to do is not the `practical’ thing to do.  Fear not, the Universe has your back and applauds your decision for change.  Soon you’ll be back on the track again.

Brave People Fail

When you fail, do you really fail?  Consider the fact that only someone who will attempt to try something new, risks failure.  That person, if successful in their endeavor is called, brave.  Doesn’t it take just as much bravery to attempt and fail?

Why are we judging ourselves and others?  Why do we use the term `growing up?’  Do we really grow up, or do we just grow?  If the definition of growing up is to never risk, always succeed, and look good in the eyes of others…where is the growth?

I had a computer geek once help me over the phone, to fix a computer problem, and when he told me to hit the DELETE button I literally froze up.  I was afraid to risk losing everything held inside of the memory of my machine.  He seemed to feel my hesitation and gently said,

“be brave my little buckeroo.”

Take A Break

I have taken a little of my own advice and taken time away from electronics.  I have `unplugged’ to a certain degree for many months, for many reasons.  It is probably time to return to the blogging world now.

This past few months of not sitting at my computer has been good for me.  If you haven’t tried it in a while, give it some thought.  It isn’t that I have gone out and accomplished many things with the time, it’s more a matter of changing gears for a period.  I’ve finished up a few things that were in waiting and started a few more.

When in doubt consider unplugging, if just for a day.

Earth Day and Change

When I went to school in the city, Earth Day was celebrated.  The year was 1967.  The celebration was very different then.  The goal for the day was to be creative without disfiguring our wooden desks.  We were given cart-blanche to use all the chalk and paper available to draw and create to make a point about anything and everything.

Though it appears that the goal of having an Earth Day has changed, so have many other occasions.  Perhaps tomorrow you can consider what you’d like to change in your life, but today let’s work together to let our world know that we love and respect it.

Meditate for a better planet.  Channel energy for compassion.  Smile ’cause it feels good.

Energy Exchange

What if you aren’t feeling well and the healing modalities that you know how to use are not working?

SHIFT.

Some modalities work better on certain problems then others.  So if you are working again to heal a problem and not getting very far, shift.  There are so many holistic approaches to problems of all kinds, physical and mental and emotional, that it may just be time to go to a healer that uses something different then what you have to give to yourself.

Don’t be shy about seeking out a new modality, remember that you were once new to the modalities that you practice.

Reiki For Dogs

My dog Happy is stuggling.  I think he is having anxiety attacks and the vet thinks he is having seizures.  I am hoping that my lack of veterinary skills will prevail.

Last Saturday I was teaching a Reiki I class when Happy began to whine and pace in a circle.  He would begin to sit down and then jump back up and pace.  This was out of character for him but because I had not been aware of one of his attacks BEFORE it hit, I had no idea what it would look like.  As I spoke to my class I held one hand on his chest and the other on his back.  He laid down.  After about 10 minutes or so, he moved away from my hands, about 4 feet and fell asleep.  He spent the whole class in that spot and when we went downstairs to practice Reiki, he joined us and laid under the table.

Did I prevent a seizure or at least a horrible shaking anxiety attack by channeling immediately, before it accelerated?   I guess I’ll never know, but I can tell you that it stopped whatever was beginning.

Hands on healing, it just doesn’t get better.

What Is a Diet?

A diet is a simple word with many meanings.  I didn’t bother to look it up on the net, but I believe DIET means WHAT YOU EAT.  The food that you consume is a diet.

Now, if you have a high fat diet, you eat foods with a high fat content which equals a high caloric diet….in general.

So how do you lose weight?  Cut your food intake by half.  Really.  Eat raw vegetables for snacks between meals, if you get hungary.  For meals eat 1/2 the food that is on your plate.  Not suggesting that you change the foods you eat.  Just eat half of the food you normally would.  You can’t tell me that if you consume half of the food in the next month that you normally would, that some weight wouldn’t fall off?  Having said that, I’m also not suggesting that it would be easy to eat half as much food.  Keep in mind that this goes for anything you put in your gut…including beverages.  Half it all.

Earth Quake and Tsunami

Our neighbors and fellow Americans are in trouble.  The storm has wiped out homes and entire cities.  Feeling like you can’t make a difference?  Feeling like you are struggling financially and can’t send money?  What CAN we all do?

This is a great time to try your skills as a long distance healer.  Meditate, channel, pray and let’s send all the energy we can today, tomorrow and for the next 7 days.  That’s right let’s spend 10 minutes a day for the next 7 days and help these folks out.

After all, WE are the world.
